Who Is MJ...
I am who I am because of the past I came from.
I was born in a small, rural town in Alabama. When I was five, my family relocated to
Columbus, GA where I completed my secondary and high school education. I finished
high school in the 11th grade and enrolled at a local college bypassing my HS
graduation with my class. But there was a restlessness in me, so I decided to leave my
hometown to enlist in the US Army to see the world and the world I did see! 21 years
later, I happily retired from the military and a brand-new chapter in my life emerged.
After retiring from the military, I embarked on a new chapter and a new career. I
secured a bachelor’s degree in Health Science from Columbus State University and a
master’s degree from Troy University in Human Resources Management. Afterwards, I
gained tremendous experience in Federal Government sector as a Human Resources
Specialist.
Who Is MJ...
Contributing to developing and empowering youth and young adults is a big deal to me!
I have so much hope for this bright and creative Generation Z of teens and tweens. My
book, Frame Your Own Future® has lots of ideas and strategies to help a budding
Entrepreneur get started and a more experienced one grow their business.
When I wrote Frame Your Own Future® the idea was to inspire youth and to give them
all the necessary tools to follow their dreams and to be their own boss TODAY!
In What Ways Do I Empower Teens?
I am currently focused on educating and empowering not only teen audiences but
audiences of all ages in the areas of Leadership Training, Goal Setting, Financial
Literacy, and Teen Entrepreneurship, helping them to determine their destiny and
discern their purpose. Utilizing larger platforms enable me to reach more people and
thereby collectively help more people.
